As Shane Beamer enters his first season as the head coach for the Gamecocks, there are a lot of exciting new additions to the game-day atmosphere in Columbia. Some of the new highlights of game days in Columbia include a giant new statue of a gamecock, a South Carolina Gamecocks themed Bojangles, and banners on all of the street lights that read “there is only one Carolina” followed by “forever garnet.” This is a blatant shot at the ACC team that plays north of the border and wears baby blue uniforms. I’m honestly all in on this. I don’t give a rat’s behind what the University of North Carolina is ranked. I would thoroughly enjoy seeing UNC try to come and play South Carolina. That would really show who the sole Carolina truly is.

There is Only One Carolina Light Post Banners Columbia, SC
Scattered around the pathways that surround Williams-Brice Stadium there are light posts. On these light posts there are banners that extend to either side of the post. In 2021 these banners were replaced with new banners that read “There is Only One Carolina.” Obviously this is a shot at the overrated preseason top 10 UNC football team. Shane Beamer and the rest of the athletic department at South Carolina are obviously trying to stir the pot and get the South Carolina faithful fired up before the start of the 2021 football season.
South Carolina fans are already excited to see the start of a new era in Carolina football. Seeing the there is only one Carolina banners on Saturdays will only heighten the excitement.
Where to Buy The There is Only One Carolina Flags/ Shirts
As of now there are not official there is only one Carolina flags and shirts but we can anticipate that someone out there will start creating them after fans see the banners outside of Williams-Brice Stadium. We will keep our eye out or maybe even create some there is only one Carolina shirts of our own.
